20SYL FT. ODDISEE | ONGOING THING

So often we get caught up in the monotonous sounds of hip-hop. We hear the same boom bap, trap, and wack rap on a daily basis, and are only infrequently entertained with an effort that actually comes across our good creative graces. Some artists are better than others at putting out the kind of quality rap (and instrumentals behind them) on a consistent basis, though, and two individuals who’ve been putting in this outstand work are 20syl and Oddisee, who each happen to appear on this unbelievably tantalizing track of theirs entitled “Ongoing Thing”.

The effort is one that comes off 20syl’s upcoming On And On Records-released Motifs EP (out June 9th), and it’s one that’s going to build all the buzz needed to get yourself and others interested in the greater body of work. From 20syl’s varied vocal modulations, synths, and instrumentations, to Oddisee’s cooly calculated raps, to the enthralling atmosphere that’s birthed as a result of them both, “Ongoing Thing” excites.
