Stefan Janoski's signature shoes and modern art come together in an imaginary collaboration dreamed up by Bulgarian artist Simeon Georgiev. Inspired by existing art-inspired footwear, Georgiev created these 3D models of the Nike SB Stefan Janoski meshed with a Jackson Pollock drip painting, the iconic Jean-Michel Basquiat crown, and Keith Haring's colorful dancers.
"I was trying to do 3D models of the sneakers as best I could. When I finished them, I decided that it would be interesting to create the final renderings not as the original shoes available now but as collaborations between Nike and the modern artists," said Georgiev, who recently created 3D models of LEGO mini-figures decked out in some of our favorite streetwear brands.

Twitter Up In Arms Over the Nike KD VI "Aunt Pearl" Release
They came and they went...
The "Aunt Pearl" Nike KD VI disappeared within minutes of its 6 p.m. EST release on Nike.com this evening. It feels like the sneakers were never released, but people did get their pairs. But a lot didn't, and they went to Twitter to vent their rage at the release.
This could be the biggest hype ever for a floral-print sneaker. The sneakers, which are made in remembrance of Kevin Durant's late Aunt Pearl and to help the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, have caused a dilemma: Is it even possible to buy release-date sneakers on Nike.com anymore?
Some people would beg to differ.

J DILLA’S DONUTS BOOK BY JORDAN FERGUSON
If there was ever an album we've released which could inspire a 130-page book, it's J Dilla's Donuts – one of our proudest releases, by an artist we were blessed to work with, and a work that took on special significance when J Dilla passed away just after it's release. 33 1/3 books (a series devoted to classic albums) is publishing the title J Dilla's Donuts on April 24th.
Author Jordan Ferguson interviewed pretty much everyone associated with the album's creation - Stones Throw's PB Wolf, Jeff Jank, Eothen Alapatt - and many of Dilla's associates in his L.A. and Detroit years. The book is not merely a behind the scenes look at the creation of Donuts, but a look at Dilla's career as a whole, his influences, his music styles, and the art of the music itself. The jacket reads, "Drawing from philosophy, critical theory and musicology, as well as Dilla's own musical catalog, Jordan Ferguson shows that the contradictory, irascible and confrontational music found on Donuts is as much a result of an artist's declining health as it is an example of what scholars call 'late style,' placing the album in a musical tradition that stretches back centuries."

THE 10 BEST GUEST BOARDS OF ALL TIME
The guest board is a recent phenomenon. In the past, the notion of a skater receiving a model on a company he didn’t ride for—even if his pro career had ended years before—seemed farfetched. Although the occasional am board materialized, actual pro models were reserved for a brand’s pro team.
And then something changed. In the early ‘00s, Krooked, Mark Gonzales’s company, began releasing decks as tributes to riders the Gonz presumably respected. Suddenly, skaters like Henry Sanchez, Shiloh Greathouse and Elissa Steamer—none of whom rode for Krooked—had signature boards bearing the Gonz’s illustrations.
Since then, guest boards have become a staple of many companies’ catalogs. We took a look back and came up with the 10 of the best models ever released.
1. MAGENTA – RICKY OYOLA
As Magenta’s recent clips have shown, the French company has a serious appreciation for the East Coast street skating of the ‘90s. So it made sense that the brand would release a board for Ricky Oyola, whose part in Dan Wolfe’s “Underachievers” laid the blueprint—wallrides, pushing through traffic, high-speed 50-50s, and all—that generations of skaters continue to follow. Naturally, the board’s graphic featured an old shot of Ricky ollieing in the middle of a busy street.
2. BIG MESS – JOHN CARDIEL
Big Mess, a smaller company, has paid tribute to figures like Randy Colvin, Barker Barrett and Keith Meek with its guest models. John Cardiel, one of the most beloved skaters of all time, was an obvious choice for a board. This deck definitely does his legend justice.
3. KROOKED – RAY BARBEE
It’s not like Ray Barbee never got his due, but with this guest board, Krooked showed love for the skater whose effortless lines in Powell-Peralta’s “Ban This” helped shape modern street skating. The graphic was at once a riff on Ray’s seminal ragdoll boards on Powell and a nod to his musical talents. When this came out, there were definitely skaters who hoped Krooked would put Ray on for real.
4. UXA – ZERED BASSETT
After Zered Bassett parted ways with Zoo York, his boys at UXA—Jeff Pang, Peter Huynh and Peter Bici—hooked him up with a guest model on a board. It didn’t take Zered long to link up with Expedition One, but this was definitely a sought-after item upon its release. The red camo graphic featuring the UXA bear might have had something to do with that.
5. SK8MAFIA – GUY MARIANO
If you’ve seen “Pretty Sweet,” you might have noticed Peter Smolik, the founder of Sk8mafia, cheering for Guy Mariano after a switch noseblunt heelflip varial body varial out. Peter is obviously a fan, a fact that this guest board, which pays tribute to one of the most important skaters of all time, only reinforces. The graphic may not be the most sophisticated, but in this case, it really is the sentiment that counts.
6. KROOKED – HENRY SANCHEZ
Henry Sanchez turned pro for Real—which, like Krooked, is distributed by Deluxe—and later switched to Blind, then headed up by Mark Gonzales. So when Krooked gave him a guest board, it was as though his career came full circle. Appropriately enough, the graphic was the Gonz’s rendition of Henry’s first pro model.
7. CLICHÉ – MARK GONZALES
Not that there are criteria for these things, but if there’s any skater who deserves a guest board, it’s Mark Gonzales. By now, the Gonz’s contribution to modern street skating—from some of the earliest handrail tricks through his original noseblunt slides and beyond—is the stuff of legend. Cliché paid its respects to this pioneer by releasing a deck bearing his name and artwork.
8. WELCOME – CHRIS MILLER
When it released this Chris Miller tribute deck, Welcome, a company known for shirking convention, said the board would not mark the beginning of a banal series of guest models. The deck paid homage to Chris, one of the most stylish skaters of the ‘80s, by reinterpreting an iconic graphic from his G&S days. Those yearning to skate one of Chris’s boards again were definitely happy.
9. BLIND – SEAN SHEFFEY
Before putting him on the team, Blind gave Sean Sheffey a model in its Brotherhood series. The board depicted a present-day Sheff standing in front of the silhouette of a graphic he had on Life skateboards. "On My Gonzales" is Atlanta-based mc/lyrical alchemist/DOOM affiliate staHHr's latest video from her "Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season" album. Ukraine Burning | VICE
Kiev's Euromaidan protesters began 2014 the same way they ended 2013: by rioting in the streets in an attempt to bring down their government. Key victories have already been won, with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and his cabinet resigning. The demonstrators also forced the annulment of a new anti-protest law that was, ironically, the cause of much of their protesting.
The protesters haven't been contented by this, however, and are still out in the streets, demanding the head of President Viktor Yanukovych and the staging of fresh elections. What began as a protest against the Ukrainian government's close ties with Russian leader Vladimir Putin has become a focus for wider discontent. However, Yanukovych seems in no mood to relinquish his power. As the social unrest spreads across the country, its first post-Soviet President, Leonid Kravchuk, has gone as far as to warn that Ukraine is on the brink of civil war. Dozens of people have lost their lives in just the last two days of violence.

Adidas will enter into the wedge sneaker market with this brand new take on the beloved Stan Smith silhouette.
We knew going into 2014 that the Stans were going to be getting all sorts of attention from the brand, but we certainly didn’t expect this to be the outcome.
On top of extending the silhouette upwards, the remix also tosses a snakeskin texture on the back end in place of the original fairway green. So far there are two colorways spotted-a basic black and a basic white.

Jihad Olympics| Sochi's Terror Problem
Islamic extremists in Russia want to blow up the Sochi Winter Olympics. They've already succeeded in terrorizing a city 600 miles away with three separate suicide attacks in which more than 40 people have died since the end of October. Russia's Jihadists come from loosely affiliated cells modeled on Al Qaeda whose goal is the creation of an Islamic Emirate in the southern part of the country. Their dream state would also include Sochi itself. But Russia has won high marks for making the security at the games unobtrusive and so far, effective. So security experts are warning that the Islamists could recalculate and target easier-to-hit cities around the country during the 2014 Winter Games. VICE News sent Simon Ostrovsky to the most dangerous region in Europe to find out how serious the threat to the Olympics and Russia actually is.

The skaters featured in the video are from a crew called "Hammer City".
Hammer city is a collective of skaters who all live near or in the neighborhood on 14th street in Long Beach California. The crews founder was a skater named Michael Green A.K.A Blacc. Mike was gunned down in 2005 over a case of mistaken Identity. Needless to say, 14th street is not a conducive environment for skating, drugs and gangs shadow the landscape but n the middle of out all the kids found an escape, they found refuge in a park they dubbed "Ghetto Park" which later became know as "The Michael K. Green Skate Park."
Featured in the video are three members from Hammer City: Juice, E.C., and ManMan (Blacc Mike's brother).

Warlords of Tripoli | Full Length
The war in Syria is dragging neighbouring Lebanon to the edge of the abyss, and nowhere is the growing chaos more stark than in the second city of Tripoli. Sunni militants aligned with the Syrian rebels frequently clash with fighters from the city's encircled Alawite minority, who support the Assad regime, in bitter street fighting the country's weak government is powerless to stop. Kanye West's Air Yeezy II Red Octobers In Surprise Release
Nike has released the Kanye West-designed Air Yeezy II sneakers, which have been nicknamed the Red Octobers. The product sells out in minutes.
The release was announced in a Nike Twitter post. "The Nike Air Yeezy 2 is now available," Nike's verified Twitter account said. Eleven minutes after the initial announcement, Nike's account updated its followers about the shoe's availability. "The Nike Air Yeezy 2 has sold out on http://Nike.com."
In November 2013, Kanye West spoke about frustrations with Nike regarding the shoe's availability. "They try to act like people ain't line up for the Yeezys," Kanye West said, speaking about the sneaker's first installment. "[Nike CEO] Mark Parker tried to son me. Yes. Son me because I am the sun and I will shine bright. And when I don't have as much money as a billionaire and when I don't have the factories that, that dude has over there, what I do have is my voice. Ain't no corporation that can take me away from my voice and I'm going to scream at the top of my motherfucking mountain as loud as I want. Anything I want. Whenever I want. Is that crazy? So I'm going to make the announcement on Monday with the corporation that finally let me get an opportunity to create."
Kanye West later announced that he had signed a deal with adidas and he also apologized to Nike for his comments about the company.
"I really feel honored to have had the chance to blow Yeezy [sneakers] up with Nike," West said in an interview with I Am Tall Boy. "I really appreciate everything they did for me. I'm not knocking them on the way out or burning no bridges. I apologize for my frustration earlier."

Charles "King Charles" Parks is a world class act; dancer, rapper, singer and actor. He is an extraordinary dancer and accomplished choreographer that embodies the qualities of a high-ranking general. He commands respect every time he touches a dance floor!
Charles is the artistic director of the FootworKINGz (FWK) and the global face for FWK. He is also the founder and leader of local battle clique, Creation (since 2001), All Star Champions of BET's "Wildin Out Wednesdays."
Charles was crowned as the "King of Footwork" at age 14 by DJ Thadz' annual "King of the Circle" event in Markham, IL and by various media including the Chicago Tribune (06) and Rolling Stone Magazine (07) and Red Eye (2009). In addition, Charles has danced for Missy Elliott alongside Eve and Nelly Futado at VH-1's "Hip Hop Honors 07" and starred in "Do the Juke," a Verizon Wireless national commercial.
King Charles grew up in the rough edges of Markham and Chicago Heights where he honed his battle skills. "My inspiration came from guys like Ant Brown, Cowherd, and my teacher Troy. These dudes were so amazing to me. I want to be legendary like what Crazy Legz is to Rock Steady Crew."

Buckshot Addresses Problems w/ Ebro
Buckshot addresses comments he made about Hot 97's program director Ebro during which he blamed him for the decline of hip-hop, which he says erupted after Ebro said some "slick" stuff on the Combat Jack Radio Show. He adds that he felt Ebro's comments on the show were "disrespectful," and he felt the need to speak out about it.
When asked about Ebro's comment on women not listening to Duck Down, the Boot Camp Clik leader directly addresses Ebro, saying "you know you were trying to be funny." However, he says that the Hot 97 host crossed the line when he was talking about women being mistreated at the shows. He adds that Duck Down doesn't make songs specifically for women, and believes they make songs for both sides.
